Why this year is still the Perfect Time to Plan your Walt Disney World Vacation!

As the summer comes to an end and the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to start planning a trip to Walt Disney World and there is still plenty of time to plan for 2023! Whether you choose to visit in the beautiful fall season or immerse yourself in the enchantment of Christmas, both options offer unforgettable experiences. In this blog post, we’ll explore the top reasons why you should consider booking a fall or Christmas vacation to Walt Disney World. From festive events to creating lasting memories, you’ll be giving the gift of magic to your loved ones.

While Summer is usually the most popular time to visit the theme parks due to school break, the autumn season offers its own unique charm. From festive events to lower crowds, you won’t want to miss out on all the enchantment that still awaits in 2023!

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

One of the highlights of visiting Walt Disney World during the fall season is the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. This culinary experience is a delight for food lovers, featuring international cuisine, wine tastings, and live entertainment. You can explore global marketplaces and sample lots of unique flavors and treats. It’s an incredible celebration of food and culture that shouldn’t be missed. This year’s festival begins July 27th and runs through November 18th, 2023.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

If you’re a fan of all things spooky and magical, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a must-attend event. This special-ticketed event takes place on select nights at Magic Kingdom Park, transforming the park into a Halloween wonderland. Meet your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes, enjoy trick-or-treating, watch the incredible Boo To You Parade (the best parade Disney does in my opinion), and be amazed by the spectacular fireworks. It’s a spooktacular way to celebrate the season!

Lower Crowds and Shorter Wait Times:

As you may have seen on the news, this Summer has had lower crowd levels at Walt Disney World than the last 2 years. Pent up demand seems to have dropped off some and guests are also pushing their trips to 2024 due to more restrictions lifting such as park reservation requirements and the Disney Dining Plan returning; however, if you are still willing to do those park reservations and aren’t interested in the Disney Dining Plan, you can benefit from even lower crowds and shorter wait times! September has historically been one of the best times to go in regard to crowd levels. It’s shortly after school starts back and it falls within hurricane season so the weather can be a little wetter, but it is our favorite time to go! We love the Halloween party, the cooler temps and all of the festive fall decor!

Holiday Celebrations

Looking to put that perfect gift under the tree this year? Why not invest in memories over things and surprise your loved ones with a Disney vacation?!

Walt Disney World transforms into a winter wonderland during the Christmas season. From shimmering lights to elaborately decorated trees, the parks are adorned with captivating holiday decorations. Main Street, U.S.A. will transport you to a small-town Christmas celebration, while each park features its own themed displays. The attention to detail is breathtaking and sets the stage for magical moments.

Better Weather

Visiting Walt Disney World during the fall or Christmas season means enjoying pleasant weather surrounded by holiday cheer. The temps are cooler, allowing you to explore without feeling overwhelmed by the summer heat. Whether you’re walking down Main Street, U.S.A. or experiencing attractions, the festive atmosphere will fill you with joy and holiday spirit.

Invest in Memories over Things this holiday season

I don’t know about you, but my kids can’t tell me what things they got last Christmas! Mostly a bunch of cheap random things that ended up getting broken because they left it out and someone stepped on it if I am being honest. But, they do remember each and every vacation we have taken as a family and they talk about them often!

When it comes to gift-giving during the holiday season, experiences and memories often hold more value than material possessions. By booking a trip to Walt Disney World, you’re giving your loved ones the gift of magical moments and cherished memories. Imagine the excitement on their faces when they find a Disney-themed surprise, revealing the upcoming vacation under the tree. It’s a present that will create lifelong memories for the whole family.

Whether you choose to visit during the fall or for a magical Disney Christmas, a trip to Walt Disney World is a gift that truly keeps on giving. From the immersive holiday decorations to exclusive events, the parks offer extraordinary experiences filled with joy and enchantment. So go ahead, put that trip under the tree and watch as the anticipation and excitement build.
