How perfectly fitting that Disney would release new information on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser on May the Fourth! Disney is inviting guests to become the hero in their own adventure – however they’d like. Live onboard a “starship” for two days and two nights. We are so excited about this new immersive experience. Continue reading for all the information we know up till now.

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will begin welcoming guests beginning Summer of 2022! This will be a completely immersive, two night 3-day adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort.

A Real Lightsaber???

The most exciting announcement made today, was the introduction of a new lightsaber, created by Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development! Yes an actual real life lightsaber that guests aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will be the first to see it in action! Check it out below!

A Fully Immersive Experience

When guests arrive at the Galactic Starcruiser, they will come to a terminal – similar to a small, private cruise terminal. They will then board a small capsule where they will experience a simulated “launch” into space.

As they look out of the windows overhead, they will see into space and see the Halcyon approaching in the distance. Once the ship docks, guests will enter into an atrium that will fully resemble a starcruiser. This will be a gathering place for crew and guests.

We have more information about this “Supper Club”. Disney stated the following:

Guests may interact with a galactic superstar who can captivate an entire room with the crook of one jewel-encrusted purple Twi’lek finger. This singing sensation will be a featured performer during one of the exquisite dining experiences inside the Crown of Corellia Dining Room, which you can see in this artist concept rendering we’re sharing today for the first time. The enticing supper club’s name is an homage to Corellia, the planet known galaxy-wide for its shipyards that gave us not only the Halcyon starcruiser, but also the Millennium Falcon. The dining room is a bright and welcoming hall that will offer breakfast and lunch to passengers before transitioning each evening into a lavish multi-course menu of both otherworldly and familiar origins.

The Guest Cabins

The cabins are extremely unique and unlike anywhere you have ever stayed before. Cabins can sleep up to five people. There are bunkbeds similar to what we saw Chewbacca sleeping in and even a window with views out to space! What kid wouldn’t want to sleep in those! There are some larger rooms as well, although the occupancy is the same.

The Guest Experiences

Guests will get to participate in several different activities from training in the ancient ways of the lightsaber to learning all about the inner-workings of the Halcyon starcruiser. It will truly be an experience in which you really feel like you are living the Star Wars story.

There is also a lounge – The Silver C Lounge – which is described as a “warm and inviting retreat for passengers of all ages”. A great place to grab a drink!

We are so excited about this experience. It will be such a treat for those that get to experience it. Do you plan to book this experience? Let us know!

Now the question I am sure you all are wondering… “What will this cost?” Well back in 2019, we received some pricing information. Keep in mind that this was prior to COVID so I am sure there will be some changes. The pricing structure will be similar to Disney Cruise Line in the fact that you pay for the entire experience versus by the night as you do at other Disney resorts. Pricing for a 2-night, 3-day stay starts at $3,300 per person. Food, beverages and entertainment would be included. If you max out one of those 5-person cabins, the total cost would be $7,200! How much would you pay for a once in a lifetime experience?

Booking for this experience has not been released yet; but will be available sometime this year. If you are interested in booking or  more information, fill out our interest form. or you can contact us here.
