We recently stayed at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in a Preferred View Room. This is a beautiful resort that combines the beauty and architecture of Spanish, Mexican and Southwest American culture. This is a moderate resort so there are a few more amenities than the value properties at Walt Disney World.

Let’s go into some of the pros and cons of this resort.

  • Beautiful Pool themed like a pyramid with waterslide and a the largest outdoor hot tub at Walt Disney World!
  • Deluxe Resort with Moderate Price Tag
  • Tons of Extra Amenities
  • Plenty of dining options
  • Big Resorts = A lot of walking – in fact, we got lost several times
  • Transportation can be slow due to multiple stops and only bus service is available
  • Not as family friendly as other resorts – no larger than life Disney characters or over the top Disney theming.

On our stay, we were in a preferred room. The preferred rooms are located close to the main lobby and dining area, which was great as the resort is so large. Check out our room tour video below!
